Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area came under intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The attacks follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with assaults already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
